Counseling

Huntington-Surrey employs a degreed, licensed professional counselor who is available to confer with students, teachers, and parents about anything of concern to them.

The counselor's goal is to help improve the quality of life and education in the Huntington-Surrey community. The counselor works behind the scenes to address the social, emotional, or existential issues that are not addressed by the academic curriculum, but that may be just as crucial to the developmental success of the student.

Parents and students are encouraged to establish contact between the school counselor and any outside counselors, therapists, or doctors they may be working with. This helps establish and maintain coordination and continuity in the care and education of the student.
