Graduation
Requirements
Diplomas will be awarded
when exit examinations are passed and all research projects and required
classes are satisfactorily completed.
Senior Exit Examinations
Mathematics Exit
Examination: Proficiency test in mathematical computation.
English Exit Examination: Assertion with proof essay, written
under examination conditions.
All examinations are done at the school during the designated
testing periods.
Senior Research Projects
Required Senior
Research Project: Done in English composition class, with a focus
on process as well as product.
Research papers in other classes may also be required.
Credit Requirements
A minimum of twenty-two
credit hours are required for graduation. Academic core classes, that
must be taken during each semester that the student is enrolled at
the school, are the following:
English: 4 credits
Social Studies: 4 credits
Mathematics: 4 credits
Science: 4 credits
Electives may be academic
or creative classes. Required for graduation are:
Electives: 6
credits
College-bound students
should take at least 2 credits of a single foreign language among
their electives.
The Senior Advisory class
(Fall Semester only) is a graduation requirement.
