Special Events

We have a number of special times of year at Huntington-Surrey that have become important to parents, fun for students, and in some cases an integral part of our school.

Parent/Teacher Night

Toward the end of the first quarter, the parents and teachers assemble to meet and discuss the school year so far.

Huntington-Surrey students and faculty flaunt their creativity each year as they vie for such titles as “Funniest,” “Scariest,” and the coveted “Best Teacher.”

Each year before the Thanksgiving holiday, the school hosts a potluck Thanksgiving dinner for the students, faculty, parents, grandparents, friends, and alumni of Huntington-Surrey.

Huntington-Surrey’s graduation ceremony treats all of the graduates like valedictorians. Each gets his or her moment in the sun — his or her turn at the podium. Friends and family gather to share a unique rite of passage. Graduation has become a very important tradition for everyone at Huntington-Surrey and something our graduates carry with them forever.
